After such a strong January, I seem to have run out of steam a bit during February. I will say, our house was much cleaner, though.
But, I made it through six books — two of them were for my book clubs — and overall, it was a decent month.
My favorite book was David and Ameena, which I didn’t realize isn’t being released now until May, so you’ll have to wait a bit for that review, but just let me say, it’s worth the wait. And as a bit of a tease, if you’re a fan of jazz, give a listen to Aaron Goldberg.
My second favorite book was The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I didn’t know much about it when I picked it up for my book club’s February pick, but I really enjoyed it. It’s a mystery with so many twists and turns, it’s really hard to figure out where it’s going. I can only imagine how many post-it notes the author must have used to create the story he did. It was very impressive.
For February, I didn’t quite make it to most of my actual TBR pile, but I’m hoping to do better in March. Feel free to subscribe to my monthly newsletter to see what is hopefully coming next.
Most of these reviews are posted (or will be this week,) but for the aforementioned David and Ameena, which will be a while. I’ve included affiliate links below if you’re interested.
